Ruth Behar, a participant in the JPOC Network, will discuss her newest book, Across So Many Seas. In addition to being the first Latina MacArthur Fellow, Behar is the Pura Belpré Award-winning author of Lucky Broken Girl and Letters from Cuba. Born in Havana, Cuba, Behar grew up in New York and now is a professor of anthropology at the University of Michigan.
